At Indian Motahkomikuk Day Care, we are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for your children. Our mission is to support their growth and development through engaging activities and loving care.
Motahkomikuk Daycare Center strives to incorporate as much of the Passamaquoddy tribal culture into our program, supporting cultural and family values.
We aim to support our community and provide a compassionate personal approach. We invite interactive generational guidance and teachings, primarily focusing on developmental progress, social skills, and emotional and physical development. It is essential that families feel good about themselves and their culture.

We offer a play-based curriculum that is designed to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our curriculum includes a variety of activities such as art, music, science, math, and outdoor play to engage and challenge children of all ages.

Motahkomikuk Day Care Center is COMING SOON! We will be looking to hire at least three staff.
A Lead Teacher, Preschool teachers, and at least one substitute.
• All potential staff must have at least earned a high school diploma or GED/HSET to qualify as an applicant.
• All staff must submit a fingerprint background check and

Motahkomikuk Day Care Center is COMING SOON! We will be looking to hire at least three staff.

• All staff must submit a fingerprint background check and are required to enroll in Maine Roads to Quality to track education and experiences. All staff must be First Aid/CPR certified and meet DOE and licensing certification requirements. Staff must be certified as mandated reporters and undergo random drug screening.
• All childcare staff members must attend and complete at least 30-40 hours of training annually.
